Volunteer or Get Help: Chequamegon Bay Community Care Network

Some of you may be wondering how to help members of our community in need of assistance and support.

Our area has entities such as The BRICK, CORE, NorthLakes Community Clinic and many others meeting essential needs such as food security, needle exchange and Narcan. And of course our clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, and first responders offer ongoing important and valuable services.

We are also fortunate to have an organization that sprung up specifically in response to the pandemic: Chequamegon Bay Community Care Network. Find CBCC on Facebook.

Get Your Tickets Now for the 100th Year Celebration of Women's Suffrage on March 8!

To mark the momentous occasion of the 100th birthday of the founding of the League of Women Voters (February 14, 1920), and the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote (August 1920), the Ashland/Bayfield League is throwing a party on Sunday, March 8, (International Women’s Day) at the Harbor View Event Center in Washburn from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

We are not only planning to commemorate these significant milestones and to have FUN, but also announce to our community and state that the LWV/ABC plans to vigorously continue its mission of “Making Democracy Work”!

To emphasize that point the event will also be a big fund-raiser to launch our next 100 years.

There will be heavy hors d’oeuvres and, of course, cake, and also entertainment and a silent auction.
