Map Your Community Training
/It's Time to Map Your Community
The success of the People's Maps Commission, Wisconsin's independent map drawing commission, depends on public input. The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin is offering a training on June 22 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for League members and friends on how to use DistrictR to draw community maps and successfully submit them to the People's Maps Commission.
Municipalities, watersheds, sanitary districts, school districts, neighborhoods and other areas are all communities that should be intact so elected representatives have the interests of those communities in mind as they govern. Breaking up communities of interest dilutes the people's voice. Learn more about DistrictR on the new Wisconsin portal.
