Rise Up: Join the Women’s March in Ashland on January 18
/Dear Members and Friends,
It is my honor to send you an invitation to join this important march the morning of Saturday, January 18 between 10 and 12, from 400 4th Ave W in Ashland.
As stated in the attached poster:
In 2017 the Women's March inspired hundreds of women to run for office and win, and millions more to vote.
This 2020 Women's march marks three years of building power, three years of training new activists, and three years of taking our seat at the table and making change.
We want to honor the women who have marched before us, the allies who are standing with us, and the Ojibwe land we call home.
Because our work is far from over, we must rise up and continue to engage and inspire civic involvement, while holding our leaders accountable for policies that accurately reflect the will of the voters.
In this year during which we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the League of Women Voters and the 19th Amendment to our Constitution, let's show our support by participating.
It promises to be a rewarding experience and I look forward to seeing you there!
Anne
