Please join us on Monday, August 24th at 6:00 pm for a virtual poetry event sponsored by the Bayfield Carnegie Library.  Bayfield Poet Laureate Lucy Tyrrell will host a virtual "Summer Sampler" Poetry Evening with special guest, Denise Sweet, former Poet Laureate of Wisconsin. Bayfield Poet Laureate, Lucy Tyrrell will be reading her poem, "Votes for Women", a poem she created at the request of the League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield Counties to honor the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment, giving women the right to vote.
