Dear Members and Friends,
We need your presence to stand for Fair Maps and our Voting Rights!
The movement to achieve fair maps in Wisconsin is far from over and we need your continued engagement.
At noon on Friday, January 21, rallies for Fair Courts to End Gerrymandering will be held at several locations around Wisconsin, including Ashland.
The proposed maps are now in the hands of the Courts. The goal is to let the Courts know that we, the people of Wisconsin, are watching and we expect them to act in a nonpartisan manner, in the best interest of the people, not politicians.
You are invited to gather with us outdoors in front of the Ashland County Courthouse on Friday, January 21 at 12 o'clock.
We will have signs, hot chocolate and hand warmers! Please dress for the weather!
For more information contact LWV/ABC Voter Services Co-Chairs Anne Chartier (715-292-3598 achartiercoates@gmail.com) or Diane Koosed (715-979-1723 koolake@gmail.com).
Rallies will also be held in Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Green Bay, Appleton, Eagle River, Wausau, Whitewater, La Crosse, River Falls, Eau Claire, Dodgeville, Stevens Point, Menomonee Falls, and Port Washington.
We hope to see you at noon on Friday, January 21, in front of the Ashland County Courthouse!
Sue Niemi, President, League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield Counties
