The Ashland County administrator has scheduled a virtual and in-person community listening session on Tuesday, March 23 at 5pm to hear feedback about the upcoming referendum to raise taxes to pay for county services.
Clark Schroeder’s virtual listening session will be broadcast from the County Board room in the Courthouse, and guests will be allowed to give comments in person at that location. Covid safety guidelines will be observed in the Courtroom (masks required, social distancing). The session will include a short presentation of services and community programs that might be affected if the referendum does not pass.
Any budget decisions will be made by the County Board. Written comments will be accepted.
Dear County Board
There was interest in having an evening listening session regarding the referendum at yesterday’s County Board meeting.
I will be hosting a listening session from the County Board room in the courthouse with a short presentation of services or community contributions which might be affected if the referendum does not pass. The Board room will be open for public comments. Naturally any budget decisions will be via the County Board.
This is not a county board meeting, so there will not be any per diems. Like the Enbridge community listening sessions I would encourage you to attend and listen in.
I would also encourage you to reach out to your districts citizens to inform them of this meeting.
This will be recorded so if you can’t listen in you can always watch it later.
Feel free to share this link so people can share their thoughts regarding the referendum.
