On Saturday October 2, women, men and children will join a nation-wide Women’s March to defend human rights. Concerned citizens will gather in Hayward, Wisconsin at 10a.m. at the corner of highways 63 and 27 South. At 10:30 they will march to the courthouse. This will be a peaceful demonstration to highlight that women’s reproductive rights are human rights. Please dress for the weather, bring posters to carry and walk together on the city sidewalks. At the courthouse there will be time for sharing beginning at 11. The group will return to “democracy corner’ via Main Street, as they march back.
Everyone is welcome to join this local march. The event is organized by Up North Engaged, a citizens group in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Its mission is to be an informed and engaged citizenry committed to protecting our constitutional rights, our shared planet, and each other.
