Organizations and individuals are invited to join for all or part: Ceremony, Information Tables and Exhibit, and a Caravan for “Bury Enbridge” Funeral Rites.
The League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield Counties is supporting the Communities United by Water event seeking the retirement of Enbridge's Line 5, on Saturday, September 26th, 2020, starting at 11:30 am. We realize that a lot of people are uncomfortable attending in person and encourage that if you are uncomfortable attending in person, you can attend virtually by the livestream feed from the event. To do so, click on this link and you'll find the livestream link in order to view the event. https://livestream.com/indiancountrytv.
With the uptick in Covid-19 cases in Ashland, we have had to make a difficult decision. In order to keep our members safe, the League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield Counties has chosen not to have a booth at the event but encourage members to support the event in safe ways, such as viewing virtually, or attending in person with banners or posters in support of the event, but remaining in cars or from a safe social distance (such as across the street and remaining at least six feet apart).
