From July 8 email

Bayfield Leaguers,

Contact Sue Niemi for the invitation for the zoom meeting if you would like to attend.

Some of you have responded to my last email. Those that can join us, we appreciate your voice in our discussion about the Centennial.

Following is the agenda:

Zoom meeting scheduled July 15 from 2 – 3:30.

Several of us will be at a Voter Services zoom meeting Thursday. I will also be on the Ashland Centennial meeting Monday, July 13. So we will have more information. Basically I want to come out of this meeting with a plan of what we can do and how/who will help get it done?

Topics to discuss:

Bayfield Celebration for Aug 26, 2020 (NOTE: with COVID-19 we will keep eye on that if it is safe or if we need to cancel anything we plan)

Following two must be included in our plan:

  • Bells Ringing in each community (Basically pre-work is done)

  • Voter Registration information

 Options for us:

  • Masks (Gayle Chatfield and her mask making crew from Chequamegon Cares will make 75-100) – In Process!

  • Possible Car Parade to Memorial Park?

  • Possible speech at Gazebo at Memorial Park, plus other activity such as voter registration.

  • Possible posters in businesses along mainstreet

  • Possible Kiosk at Chamber (They would love for us to use that)

  • Possible Library Display (Blair is happy for us to put up a display at the Library) childrens’ books and future voter stickers

What Information do we want to put in public view and where?: 19th amendment, lwv local history, about the League (we are 100 too, nonpartisan, coming to consensus), Voting info, other?

Voter Services (Quick thoughts for Aug 11; after Aug 26 we need to work harder)

  •  Flyer for food boxes

  • LWV Letter for library facebook page

  • Voter Services registration Help and Info?

  • How to Partner with Native Voices

(NOTE:  Check with Health Services, Safety, City officials,Chamber, publicity)

Thanks everyone for your input and help pulling this off.  DianneJudd
