In partnership with Northland College's Center for Rural Communities and WITC, a League Forum will feature Sarah McKinley, from the Democracy Collaborative in Washington, DC. She will present on her research and travels around the US visiting cities who noted for their innovative strategies resulting in growing more prosperous local communities. Her talk will also be followed by a 30-minute response panel of four or five speakers with expertise in planning and development, and innovative community development strategies.

Ms. McKinley is co-author with Marjorie Kelly of the Cities Building Community Wealth Report. Sarah will describe wealth building strategies including anchor institution and broad ownership models, and share best practices from around the country.
